STUART BINGHAM says he has flown out to China early to readjust to the conditions ahead of next week’s International Championship.
Ballrun will face fellow Englishman and world No 63 Robbie Williams in Daqing at the ranking event which will see the champion take home the £150,000 top prize.
Bingham said: “I think I played Robbie at this tournament before and he is starting to show what a good player he is at the moment.
“He almost beat Judd at the English Open so he is playing well and I will have to be at the top of my game.
“I’ve come out here a week early to play in an Asian Tour event and settle to the different time zone and conditions ahead of the International Championship.
“I was in very good form ahead of going out of the English Open so now it is about getting over that blip with some table time.”
Bingham beat Lee Walker (4-0) and Fang Xiongman (4-2) at the English Open in Barnsley before a 4-3 defeat to Iranian Hossein Vafaei which came down to the last couple of colours.
Ballrun said: “I missed some really poor shots early on and I’m not sure what was wrong, but I think that table might have been playing a bit differently.
“And even at 3-0 down I still fancied it and did okay to make it 3-3.
“But I kept losing positions in the decider and he fluked a couple then potted a good pink and black to win.
“It is a shame because I had been playing well for weeks. And it is yet another 4-3 defeat so I am going to have to make sure I win these matches before they go to deciders because they are not going my way right now!”
